Decline in central bank sales of hard currency

The Central Bank of Iraq’s hard currency sales decreased today, Sunday, to $ 182 million.

According to the bulletins of the Central Bank, during its auction for the sale and purchase of foreign currencies today, it witnessed a decrease in its sales to reach 182 million 983 thousand and 721 dollars, which the bank covered at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to last Thursday, where sales reached 198 million and 321 thousand Dollars.

The purchases amounting to 163 million 383 thousand and 721 dollars went to strengthen the funds abroad in the form of transfers and appropriations, while the remaining 19 million and 600 thousand dollars went in cash.

Thirty-two banks responded to requests to enhance assets abroad, 17 banks met cash requests, and 11 participating exchange companies.
