Economy News - Baghdad



The head of the Iraqi Private Banks Association, Wadih Al-Handal, participated in the Iraqi-Saudi coordination meeting, representing the Iraqi banking sector.

Al-Handal said, in his speech at the meeting, that "the Iraqi banking sector is ready to support the Iraqi-Saudi investment movement during the coming period," noting that "the Iraqi banking sector is looking forward to more cooperation with its Saudi counterpart by opening branches of Iraqi banks in Saudi Arabia and vice versa as well."

Al-Handal noted that the Saudi-Iraqi economic relations are witnessing a great development during the current period, especially after the opening of the Arar border crossing, which will contribute to increasing trade exchange between the two countries.
