Oil Minister directs the implementation of associated gas investment projects

Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar instructed to accelerate the implementation of gas investment projects associated with oil operations, after his visit to the Iraqi Drilling Company, South Gas, Basra and Artawi field in Basra Governorate.

Abdul-Jabbar said during his meeting with a number of ministry officials: "The ministry puts its priorities in the acceleration of implementing gas investment projects associated with oil operations and converting it into useful energy that covers a large part of local needs by relying on the national effort in cooperation with sober international companies to reach the planned goals."

He added, "The ministry has made an important way in this regard, as it is now working to implement the remainder of its plans in this regard and to overcome all obstacles, difficulties and challenges that hinder the implementation of some projects by providing financial and investment support."

Abdul-Jabbar pointed to "the importance of the drilling sector in developing the oil industry and increasing and sustaining production of crude oil," praising "the national effort and its great role in implementing the ministry's plans and programs."
