The Muthanna Investment Commission announced, on Wednesday, the achievement of a completion rate of 75% in a project to produce investment cement with a capacity of 2 million tons annually.
The authority said in a statement seen by "Al-Iqtisad News" that "exceptional circumstances, especially those related to the Corona pandemic, did not stop the activities of the executing company, and that the plant will contribute to raising the production of investment cement in the province to 6 million tons annually."
He added that "this project will contribute to economic development, influence the balance of payments, maintain foreign currencies, and achieve self-sufficiency in cement, in addition to improving the standard of living for the people of the province through the contribution of the authority to employ large numbers of manpower, according to the statement."
