The Housing Fund at the Ministry of Construction and Housing revealed its procedures to facilitate the granting of loans to citizens, and the existence of targets for granting 12,000 loans to build housing units within the plan for the current year.

The deputy director of the fund, Hussein Al-Otaibi, said, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The first measures that were taken are the electronic submission, which reached 60 percent of the work. It is possible to follow up their treatment. "

He added that "the electronic documentation process preserves privacy on the one hand and prevents blackmail, manipulation and elimination of routine procedures, and preserves citizen rights in a sequence and archiving on the other hand."

Al-Atabi explained, "The fund has a plan to convert all work joints into electronic, which includes archiving, fingerprint, check and disclosure, indicating that the purpose of the electronic detection is to avoid cases of fraud in identifying the uncovered property."

And that "among other measures is the adoption of electronic payment payments of the loan, through the issuance of (Master Card and Visa Card) for the Housing Fund and can be used inside and outside Iraq."

The Deputy Director General of the Fund emphasized that "the citizen can obtain the loan payments and pay the monthly installments through this card, as well as follow the remaining installments through the electronic link."

Al-Otaibi pointed out that “the fund’s plan for the current year includes granting 12,000 loans to build housing units,” noting that “an amount of 575 billion dinars has been allocated to individual loans and housing complexes, but the Ministry of Finance addressed the fund in an official letter and allocated 690 billion to be included Operational budget for the current year. "

And the Iraqi Housing Fund revealed the disbursement of more than 40 billion dinars for loans during the month of January.
