The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers and the Chinese Ambassador agree to coordinate and cooperate on measures to prevent "Corona" virus

The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Hamid Al-Ghazi and the Chinese Ambassador to Baghdad (Zhang Tao) agreed to coordinate the exchange of data and procedures regarding the "Corona" virus, and that the Chinese workers in Iraq will not leave until the virus is controlled.

In his meeting with the Chinese ambassador, the Secretary-General stressed the need for continuous communication to learn about the developments of the epidemic, and the procedures of the Chinese embassy in Baghdad in this regard.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed Beijing's understanding of the measures taken by the Iraqi government to prevent entry from China to Iraq, stressing that the embassy has taken strict measures to prevent the arrival of the virus in Iraq, especially with the presence of (thirteen thousand) Chinese workers in Iraq.

And that the embassy stopped and suspended their evacuation and travel, and a strict isolation of diplomats from China was an exception, for a period of fourteen days.

The Chinese Ambassador assured the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers of the difficulty of the arrival of the virus in Iraq, and the possibility of its elimination in view of the Iraqi environment and the climate that enjoys high temperatures in the spring and summer seasons.
