The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers calls for the development of practical formulas to address the reality of investment lands

The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Hamid Al-Ghazi, chaired the meeting (92) of the Committee to investigate the obstacles that prevent the completion of investment projects by government agencies, calling for the importance of elaborating process formulas that address the reality of land, especially the lands of investment projects that are partially or totally abandoned, and increased coordination between the authorities Concerned with managing the investment file in the country.

The meeting, which was held at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in the presence of the Chairman of the Supreme Authority for Coordination between the Governorates, Mr. Torhan Al-Mufti, examined a number of topics that were mentioned in the committee’s agenda, which includes “amending investment licenses and a vision to improve the work and investment environment and determining the time period for investment projects, as well as the recommendations of the work team On the project (Mary Mall), and the most prominent proposals to address the delay in its implementation.

The committee also reviewed the statute of limitations for work in the land investment project surrounding Baghdad International Airport, and the current position of obstacles to investing in central markets in Baghdad represented by markets (Al-Mustansiriya, Al-Shaab, Al-Salhiya, Al-Adil, and Al-Jamaa), in addition to the project for establishing Al-Shumookh University in Baghdad.

To that, the Committee recommended the establishment of a workshop for the relevant Jet on improving the quality of lands belonging to the state and investing them properly.
