Baghdad ( NINA ) - The deputy of the Allies of Peace Alliance Al-Shammari affirmed the importance of activating the procedures for recovering the smuggled Iraqi money amounting to $ 500 billion.

He explained: "In 2007, Iraq joined the Administrative and Financial Anti-Corruption Agreement of 2005, and it allows Iraq to request assistance in recovering the smuggled money, which was estimated at 500 billion dollars."

He added, in a press statement, that "Iraq can ask the Security Council to refer the file to the International Criminal Court, considering corruption crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity." / End 3
