The Southern Cement Cooperative in charge of managing the factories of the General Company for Iraqi Cement in the southern region announced on Sunday that it had obtained the international quality certificate from the French (BUREAU VRITAS) company granting the quality standards after completing the qualification stages and not recording any inconsistency of the quality management system approved in the cooperative And its laboratory.

The director of the company, Eng. Hussein Mohsen Al-Khafaji, said in a statement, "Economy News" received a copy of it. Production and quality of the product known in the local market with its long history of more than eighty years, ”revealing at the same time“ achieving the company's southern factories production and sales quantities amounting to (4) million tons during the past year 2019 and with a development rate of (103) compared to the previous year 2018 ”

Al-Khafaji added, “All the factories of the southern, northern and western companies are certified by the Quality Mark for their products by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control and they are up to date with all quality updates and periodic and field checks.”

He continued, "The company produces all types of ordinary and resistant cement at a price of (75) thousand dinars per ton in addition to the production of non-standard cement for oil wells and cement to fill the foundations of dams, as it supplied oil companies operating in Iraq with cement of oil wells at its two categories (B, G) at a price of (160) thousand dinars and the provision of large sums to these companies after they were importing these two types at a price of (400) dollars per ton, in addition to preparing the Italian Trevi company responsible for maintaining the Mosul Dam with cement for filling the foundations of dams at prices less than half the prices of the importer and with higher quality.
