The deputy head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department meets the Deputy Chief of the Japan Mission to Baghdad DSC_5971

The deputy head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department, Dr. Ali Hilal, met with the Vice-President of the Japan Mission in Baghdad, Mr. Cho Nakagawa, and they discussed a number of issues of common concern, including: Mutual support in international organizations.

Appreciating Japan's supportive stances in Iraq, including the continuous support for the efforts of the United Nations in the Department of Mine Clearance (UNMAS) to clear the liberated cities from the mines, and the high coordination with the Iraqi authorities specialized in this field.

For his part, Mr. Nakagawa thanked the Government of Iraq for its support of the draft resolution (Building a Peaceful and Better World through Sport and the Olympic Ideal), which was recently adopted by the General Assembly.
