"Nearly three years after being on my management team, Jason Greenblatt is leaving the White House to move into the private sector," Trump tweeted.
"Jason was also a loyal and wonderful friend and a wonderful lawyer. No one will forget his dedication to Israel and the pursuit of peace between Israel and Palestine."
US special envoy to the Middle East, Jason Greenblatt, intends to resign after the White House unveiled the contents of the "deal of the century," officials familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

US President Donald Trump has announced the resignation of US Middle East peace envoy Jason Greenblatt, who is one of the most vocal leaders of the "deal of the century."
"Nearly three years after being on my management team, Jason Greenblatt is leaving the White House to move into the private sector," Trump tweeted.
