The Cabinet announced on Tuesday the approval of the draft law on partnership between the public and private sectors.
"The Council of Ministers held its regular session today, chaired by Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi," a statement issued by the council said.
The statement added that "the Council approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council on energy on the service contract for the Mansuriya field."
The Cabinet approved the draft agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of evasion of taxes on income and capital between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of Saudi Arabia.
The statement referred to "the Council's approval of the requirements of the electoral process of the provincial councils not organized in the province."
The statement said that "the Council approved the recommendations of the meeting concerned with the development of the port of Safwan border," as well as the recommendation of the Ministerial Council of the economy on the donation of vehicles. "

The Council of Ministers, in its regular session held under the chairmanship of the President of the Council Adel Abdul-Mahdi, approved the draft law on public-private partnership.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Information Office on Tuesday, seen by Al-Eqtisadiah news agency, said the cabinet "endorsed the recommendation of the Ministerial Energy Council on the service contract for the Mansouriya field, while approving the draft law on public-private partnership."
The Council also approved a "Draft Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Evasion of Taxes on Income and Capital between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia".
The statement noted that the Council "endorsed the recommendations of the meeting on the development of the border crossing of Safwan," adding that "it also approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council of the economy on the gifting of vehicles."

The cabinet held its regular weekly meeting in Baghdad on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi.
The Cabinet approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Energy Council on the service contract for Al-Mansuriyah oil field in Diyala province.
The Council approved a draft law on public-private partnership to strengthen cooperation between government agencies and the private sector.
The Cabinet approved the draft agreement between the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion.
The Cabinet also approved measures to meet the requirements of elections to provincial councils outside the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The Cabinet also approved recommendations for development of the Safwan border crossing between Iraq and Kuwait in Basra province.
