The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Najirvan Barzani, that the region supports the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi to ensure the stability of Iraq and the economic recovery in Iraq and Kurdistan.

On Tuesday evening, the prime minister received Douglas Seelman, US ambassador to Iraq, US consul to Erbil, Steven Vaughn, and their accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they discussed security and political developments in the region, the situation in Iraq, the formation of the new Iraqi government, and the support and participation of Kurdish political parties in the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi, according to a statement by the provincial government.

Nechervan Barzani, reiterated his support for the Kurdistan Region to Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, aimed at resolving the outstanding problems between Erbil and Baghdad, and achieve security stability in Iraq and the economic recovery in Iraq and Kurdistan in general.

In another aspect of the meeting, they discussed the dialogue between the political parties in the Kurdistan Region and the formation of the new government in the region, and other topics related to Iraq and the region.
