The former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein, who ruled the country for 24 years, was one of the richest people in the world, according to Forbes Magazine.
According to the information, Saddam Hussein owned dozens of yachts equipped with a helipad and 27 bedrooms equipped with bulletproof windows and water taps, made of gold, a small theater, several pools and a prayer room, as well as a submarine passage.
In addition to boating, Saddam Hussein loved agriculture. He also liked buying expensive western suits. He combines old and modern weapons and luxury cars, and he likes to drive very quickly in the streets of Baghdad.
The Iraqi president had a passion for reading books. Earlier this year, a love novel by Saddam Hussein himself, entitled Zubeiba and the King, was found. It was composed by the Iraqi president in 2000 and consists of 160 pages. The story unfolds for thousands of years.
Saddam Hussein loved building palaces for himself and his relatives. More than 80 palaces have been built during his tenure in Iraq. The Arab media confirm that their numbers may be weak.
This number of mansions was necessary for the Iraqi president, because he feared assassination attempts and preferred to spend the night in one place for two nights in a row. Some of these palaces were converted after the US invasion into luxury hotels, while others were used for US military needs. And transformed one of these palaces to the largest building of the US embassy in the world.
Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has money in banks, and the Americans are still puzzled about the whereabouts of the money, which belongs to the family of Hussein, as reported by the media that three trucks headed at midnight on March 18, 2003, two days before the invasion American, to the central bank in the Iraqi capital.
Saddam Hussein's younger son, Qusay, was riding in one of them. And demanded to give him one billion dollars. It took several hours to load the money into the trucks. Such operations took place in major Iraqi cities, and currency and gold were withdrawn. On the same day, Saddam Hussein's trusted people withdrew his money into Swiss, Lebanese and Dutch banks.
