The ballot box closed after the end of a special vote in the 2018 parliamentary elections across Iraq .

The ballot box, which included all members of the armed forces and those in hospital and prison inmates , was closed on Thursday afternoon in the 2018 parliamentary elections across Iraq, including the Kurdistan region.

The special voting process began Thursday morning in all its forms in the 2018 parliamentary elections.

Iraq's 2018 parliamentary elections are the first to take place in the country after the defeat of the "Daqsh" organization at the end of last year, and the second since the US withdrawal from Iraq in 2011.

It is also the fourth since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein in 2003, which will take place on May 12 next To elect members of the House of Representatives, which in turn elects prime ministers and the Republic.

The elections are contested by 320 political parties, coalitions and electoral lists, as follows: 88 electoral lists, 205 political entities and 27 electoral coalitions, through 7,367 candidates, fewer than the previous 9,000 candidates.
