The Ministry of Planning, Monday, the annual inflation rate of Iraq by 0.4%, during the period from January 2017 to January 2018.
The official spokesman of the Ministry of Planning Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi said in a statement read by "Economy News" that "the reasons for the decline in the monthly inflation rate to the decline of food and non-alcoholic beverages by 1%, tobacco by 0.2%, clothing by 0.5%, and housing by 0.3% , The Education Section by 0.2% and the Restaurants Section by 0.4%.
"The reasons for the rise in annual inflation are attributed to the rise in the housing sector by 1.1%, the increase of the education section by 3% and the goods and services by 2.5%," adding, "The sections of equipment and household equipment and maintenance and the Department of Communication and the Department of Entertainment and Culture, witnessed a decline in rates close Ranged between 1-3%, "explaining that"
He pointed out that the inflation rate witnessed a decrease of 0.3% during the month of January compared to the previous month of December.
