MP Ali al-Shuwaili on Monday accused the provincial government of rigging the number of voters who are entitled to participate in the upcoming parliamentary and legislative elections, pointing out that these methods will lose much of the region .

"The elections in Iraq and the region depend on the ministries of commerce and planning to prepare voters who are entitled to participate," he said in a press statement. "There are doubts about the manipulation by the provincial government of the real numbers of voters whose names have been provided to the center ."

He added that "resort to these methods in addition to the pursuit of the Kurdistan government to internationalize the outstanding problems between the parties will lose much of the region," noting that "continuing smuggling oil and control of the border crossings and the provision of false names, especially employees to the government of the Center is the one that delayed delivery of salaries so far ..
