Asking for advise and direction because I’m at a loss with this situation.
I paid my vehicle off with TDA. The payment allegedly reversed after 12 days. I haven’t received anything on this matter from first lender. I traded the vehicle in before payment reversed. Now the new lender says I’m on the hook to pay them $18k by Monday because they haven’t received the title for the vehicle paid off.
How do I handle this and what steps should I take?
Please help me!!

Daphne Herren I did sign papers. Including one stating the vehicle was paid off. I printed out the payment confirmation for them too.

Daphne Herren Okay, that’s good to know. What if they attempt to cease my vehicle while I’m at work or something?
I’m freaking out (which I’m sure they want me to do) because idk what to do..

Daphne Herren What does the registered mail return receipt mean? Send it to both lenders and send it certified?

Daphne Herren I did try the discharge debt letter Porsha posted about and it was not successful.
They sent me a stack of papers in response after the 30 days.

Carlyne Desir I don't think they can take your vehicle as long as you keep up on your regular payment.

Daphne Herren Carlyne Desir they said they wouldn’t take their vehicle back but would turn it over to their attorneys. I asked what that meant but the lady didn’t tell me.
They are asking me to get in touch with my trust bank and ask why they returned the payment.

Daphne Herren I asked if they could simply take the new vehicle back as if this never even happened. The answer was no.

Carlyne Desir Stop talking to them, tell them whatever it is put it in writing. They're trying to scare you!! Read the Affidavit of Walker Todd and look at your contract. They did not give you a loan they give you credit. Legally that's fraud! Anything they do is against the law because they have to follow the contract! The other amount is not part of your contract!
