The process has already been approved by the Council of Ministers. "Rumor" has it is that it's been passed in the House of Reps which was the last hurdle. It just hasn't been made public yet.(PLEASE SEE MY POST RE; PHOENIX)

We should see the lower denoms at the revalued rate "very soon".

I'm looking at anytime before the 15th, which is when the Tariff Law goes into effect.(BOND LADY RE; TARIFF LAW POST)

Taxes on imported goods are going to be passed on to consumers. I have a hard time seeing Shabibi
letting this happen when the exchange rate is 1170 and his 3 zero process has taken 3 zero notes
out of circulation, making it harder for the people to buy things.

The CBI also wants a stronger dinar for purchasing items from other countries, not to mention the fact that
they want to "de-dollarize" the country...Revalued lower denominations will eliminate the US dollar from the
streets...and we know that the lower denoms are being positioned for release from contacts on this board.

(I just learned today that July 14th is a national holiday in Iraq as well... )

Shabibi said on April 19th here in the states that "to bring back the dinar, the 3 zero process
will be completed "very soon" and the exchange rate will go hand in hand"

On June 1st, Saleh stated: "the supplies are sufficient to implement the experience"....meaning the
lower denominations were ready to go.

On June 20th Shabibi, with Maliki at his side, announced the 3 Zero Process was being implemented.

On June 28th, an article stated the Council of Ministers approved the law, leaving only the House of
Representatives a "rubber stamp" vote for it to become law.

"Rumor" has it the law was passed in one of the last several sessions. The only thing we're looking for now
is when the lower denominations hit the street with the RV'd rate...

I don't think anything's holding this up...I think they know exactly when they're going to pull the trigger,
I'm just thinking it will be on or before July 14th...but I could be wrong... -_-
