Al-Jaafari: Iraq will not join Washington's policy against Iran

Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari said that Iraq will not join the policy adopted by Washington against Iran, stressing that Iraq rejects the policy of dialogue between countries against each other.

Al-Jaafari said in an interview during an international conference on the victims of ethnic and religious violence in the Middle East, which was hosted by the capital Madrid, that there are many facts linking the two countries, adding that 'Iraq rejects the policies of axes in the region.
Jaafari's statement comes in response to a question about US President Donald Trump's attempt to form a front against Iran and whether Iraq will participate.

Al-Jaafari said that Iraq is bound by a common border with Iran for a length of 1400 kilometers, despite the relations and social ties, stressing that Iran has not attacked so far or occupied a Shubra of Iraqi territory, while the northern neighbor (Turkey) penetrated its military forces 110 kilometers inside Iraq, Baghdad continued its relations with Ankara.

Jaafari stressed that Iraq is a civilized country with the oldest civilization and does not follow the policy of black and white on multiple issues.
