Biden spoken to al - Abadi affirms US support for the sovereignty and unity of Iraq

Conducted by US Vice President Joe Biden, Monday, telephoned Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, and among the last that Iraq is keen on relations with the United States, Biden stressed US support for the sovereignty and unity of the Iraqi territory.

The Prime Minister's Office said in a statement seen by Alsumaria News, "The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received on Monday a phone call from US Vice President Joe Biden."

He said al-Abadi, according to the statement, that "Iraqi forces are advancing from all axes Our goal editing rights and land from these terrorist gangs," noting that "Iraq is keen on relations with the United States and the continued support of the international community in the war against terrorism and restore stability to cities liberated."

For his part, Biden praised "the great progress of the Iraqi armed forces in the Battle of Mosul and achieve victories," again, "US support for the Iraqi government in its war against terrorism."

He praised Biden, the "leadership of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in consolidating understanding among all components of the country and the ongoing cooperation between the security forces in various formations, especially with the Peshmerga forces."

The US vice president, "US support for the sovereignty and integrity of the Iraqi territories and the continuation of cooperation between the two countries to promote a positive relationship."

It is noteworthy that the US special envoy Brett Makourk confirmed on Saturday (March 5, 2016), that his country supports Iraq's sovereignty, as he pointed to the existence of "concerned" about the presence of Turkish troops in northern Iraq.
