wmawhite asks Why would you start out selling it at...$0.00085 per share?
wmawhite
If you had a company and you were selling stock in your company and you believed your company's stock was worth (let's say) $1.25 per share. Why would you start out selling it at...$0.00085 per share? That would be...Crazy...and it applies directly to Iraq.

Holding the currency of a country is in no way like owning stock! This is just another way the gurus have been misleading people into thinking that as Iraq's economy improves then the currency must improve right along with it just like a stock but nothing could be farther from the truth. The exchange rate of a currency is not directly linked to a country's wealth but the gurus have done such a good job of selling this one that people have just started taking it for granted that's the way it is!
A good example is South Korea, in less than fifty years they went from a stone age economy to a bustling modern industrial economy yet their currency has maintained an exchange rate VERY close to the same as Iraq!
The current exchange rate stands at 1129 to one U.S. Dollar, sound familiar?
So if holding a country's currency is like holding stock what happened to South Korea????

South Korea used their heads for something other than a hat rack-And they don't have anyone like Maliki to try to wreck their country, or their economy-

True but their currency remains at around 1129 to 1 U.S. Dollar in spite of the economic growth so why would Iraq's currency grow for that reason? Both S Korea and Iraq could have booming economies and even lower exchange rates, their economic success is no guarantee of a high exchange rate! S Korea simply chose to keep it where it is and as a diversified industrial exporter they can actually benefit form that rate, Iraq OTOH might benefit from having a stronger currency since it is a net importer but if they do so it will be through a re-denomination and so far the officials have ruled out doing that several times. Some officials have been against it all along while others have argued for doing it but so far those who believe the cost of re-denomination outweighs the gains have won out.
This brings up another point, IF a "RV" had actually been possible why has it not been done by now? I hear people argue that Malki stood in the way and prevented it but does that make any sense at all? Who on the planet would have had more to gain and been in a better position to profit from such a thing as Malki was? He could have made himself and his Iranian buddies fabulously wealthy, far more so than what he managed to steal while in office, so why would he have denied himself all that wealth? Obviously it just wasn't possible and never has been possible or it would have been done before now, most likely the only discussion that might occur of a "RV" among Iraqi officials would be to laugh at people who think they are going to be rich from holding that worthless paper! The idea of a "RV" did not originate in Iraq from Iraqi politicians or bankers, it came from idiot gurus on the internet yet people STILL want to believe this is somehow going to happen!!!!!

You have a very valid point, and no arguments from me, as you spoke the truth, in volumes, and it looks like I will hit the currency exchange in Orlando, and see what the dinar at par is- I know I'll probably take an ass kicking, but I will be free of the head aches- I'm just glad I'm not overly invested, like some folks are- I'll damn sure know better next time-Nobody could have known at this point, excepting you and a few others, how this was going to turn out, or the expectations a lot of people had- Many lost everything over lies and deceit, and I hope the people that conjured this scam pay dearly for it-
