Tomorrow Press / Baghdad: revealed Parliamentary Committee on Oil and Energy, Sunday, that the international oil companies dues payable by the government for this year amounted to $ 21 billion, noting that the Iraqi government and the companies have agreed on a mechanism for the payment of this specific cumulative debt.

Said committee member Zahir al-Abadi for "tomorrow Press" that "the Oil and Energy Committee discussed a few days before the issue of the Court of the international oil companies with the Deputy Minister of Oil Fayyad grace and Prime Mahdi al-Amidi, director Daairh contracts in the ministry for the poll dues global companies in licensing rounds."
He said the "government has recently approved the sale of treasury bonds worth $ 12 billion to pay the Office of companies as well as the amounts which are included within the budget and shield them nine billion dollars to become the debt of these companies by 21 billion dollars."

He explained that "the amount of 21 billion dollars is debt accumulated in previous years payable during the year by the Iraqi government for these companies," noting that "the Iraqi government and the agreed companies on a mechanism specific to repay the accumulated debt, taking into account the economic conditions experienced by Iraq."

They can only do this by borrowing money from the CBI, and other than that, they are pretty much dead in the water- They need to do something soon, however, because they will cease to exist in a few months-Iraq will be a 'ghost' province if they don't do something- affraid
