Virtue Party: formation of a government of national unity provides a broad base of support for the fight against terrorism

BAGHDAD / NINA / The head of the Virtue bloc, Ammar Tohma confirmed that "The formation of a government of national unity reassures all components and provides a broad base of support for the fight against terrorism."

He expressed his hope "that assigning a new Prime Minister is a step to speed up form a government of national reassuring all the components and starts political solutions to the problems and crises, according to constitutional standards of partnership and citizenship."

He added in a press statement that "it is necessary to unite the positions of political forces around the interests and goals of the Supreme National and agree on a government program touches the needs and aspirations of the citizens."

He called on the international community, "To initiate practical steps move to support Iraq in its war against terrorism, the common enemy of the Iraqis, and to contribute to open safe corridors for displaced people trapped by terrorism."

He confirmed "the need to support the army and security forces to find comprehensive solutions to the problems of displaced persons and bring them back to their cities through speeding up the liberalization of the areas controlled by terrorist gangs" ./ end
