Do not cry little Meme. Alleyrose is a grandma herself.
I know that we were fortunate enough to have both grandmas living close by so we always had a very willing (and cheap) babysitter. The only problem was that both of my sons had to be "de-programmed" when they came back home. Depending on the length of stay, this process could take several days.

You sound like my beloved Mom, horizon. Awwwwww, I don't spoil them, I just let them do anything they want to do whereas, when you and your brother were growing up, I would blister your little butts for the same conduct.

Nooooo I spoil them with Love! I do give them things and spend extra time doing things with them, but I will whip their behinds, and they know it!!!! But, they love their Mawmaw!!!!

pfft, I was just as tough on my grand kids as my own kids, no nonsense at memes' house. They are all grown except one at 9 yrs, all WITH good morals, appreciative, respectful. Now you know they get alot of lovin but long ago when those diapers were dirty...... lol them buggers got handed back to their moms! No built in babysitter here unless it was a short run to the store. Nope, my kids had to endure parenthood just as I did........

Well my grandbaby's are just babies still, they are 5,3, 2 and 7 months. I have them just about everyday and they looooove coming to nannees place. I adore those little kids but sometimes it is very good to see them go home LOL they can be rather full on!

You are right Meme!!! I raised mine and I keep mine more than I really want to, but you do for your kids when they need the help. They respect my husband, and I more than their parents. We love them do a lot with them to teach them things, but also know they have to listen or we will set them straight!
Today I have been working with my 9 yr old, with a little young horse I have. He loves this horse, and has taken a lot of time with her since she was born and wants her to be his. He has been crawling on her back for a long time while she eats, and just loving on her. Today I put a saddle on her and told him, if she is going to be his, he is going to train her. I knew she wasn't going to be a problem, from just training horses for so long. He worked her on the ground for a little while then I made him climb on her back. He climbed up and she didn't do anything, she was relaxed, but he is the one that has been climbing up on her with nothing on her. He was so excited, and it is such a good confidence builder for a child to work with a animal. He made her back, turn, walk, & stop. She is going to be a good little horse for him. This weekend I will take him to the woods and let him ride her on the trails, and see how that goes. This is the kind of spoiling I do! I love to teach them things.
