Interesting ... but why is the UN even getting involved?

Nope, the program was turned over to the provisional government in 2003, and officially terminated six months later.

And we all wondered HOW they could afford to have their currency valued so low. Interesting. And WHO do you suppose is funding a majority of that program? Odds on bet it is WE ARE.
What intriguing webs we weave when we endeavor to deceive!
Explains a WHOLE bunch to me this does.

Even if they terminated the OLD program they still are feeding their people. Since they don't seem to have a major farming operation it would stand to reason that a lot is imported i.e. requiring funds from somewhere - probably us.
And we all wondered what Biden was doing running over there all the time, hmmmmm. SEEMS a better explanation than running assisting Maliki in his decision making process - or not. All that money the US has sent over there for all these years - probably ended up in similar places as did the oil for food money (in Saddam's safe).
Seems like it ought to be time to "share all the wealth" and RV.

I think at this place in time, we'd have a better chance of meeting and shaking hands with 'MOSES', while watching a snowball trying to survive in h-e-l-l!! The 'RV" stands for 'Recycled Verbiage'-

You are correct that the actual term "oil for food" under that program was stopped as such in 2003 - but it was turned into the "Developement Fund for Iraq" which is still monitored by the UN.

Correct, the the program was terminated in 2003, although the books were not officially closed until 2010. Still, either way it is reckoned it's long done.
