Bear on recaps...May 31
Bear just posted on recaps that he'll be shocked if we don't see an announcement tommorrow night, so that must be our Saturday morning or is it today!? So confusing lol! Either way I think I will allow myself a small bit of excitement for today!

Pace yourself, alleyrose. Parcelling out a little bit of excitement is OK....like eating a couple of chocolates from the box. Just don't eat the whole thing, as you may end up with a huge letdown if you do. I once ate an entire 2-lb box of See's Candies (nuts & chews) in one day, so I know from whence I speak.

LOL!!! We are chocoholics aren't we!? Ok I ate a half gallon of ice cream in 24 hrs or less~so far two or was it three times lately and am wanting to go get more! I feel like an addict. I lost a ton of weight in the past few months~sure don't want to gain it all back with gallons of ice cream. Dang chocolate and chocolate/peanut butter stuff~I keep finding new ice cream flavors that are beyond good!

I'm partial to dark chocolate with a little heat mixed in. Chillies are amazing with dark chocolate.

Bear is one of my top gurus that I actually listen closely to. He has always been very honest and almost hype-less. Heck even Randy Koonce (Mr. hype-less himself) seemed to be a bit hopeful.
I so remember last June 30th when many were on the same page~I let that one drain me. So I decided to only let myself have a little excitedness. Earlier today it was only 2% and has gone up but only to 4%. That's not wacking out is it Sebbie!? Anyone?~?
Guess the multi-quote thingie didn't work!
I hear ya! 707RV about your Bear post.

Not on this website ... maybe in OOM chat ... but I don't recall him ever being trashed here ... Just sayin ...

Wow, 707RV, I must have missed that one, because I don't remember BEAR being trashed on this site. It has always been the policy not to trash roos or wingmen or anyone, really. We get a little testy sometimes in our conversations, but gosh I'm surprised to hear you believe BEAR was "crucified" here. Glad to have you still participating in the conversation.
By the by, I don't like things sugar coated (except green M&M's, of course), but you slather chocolate or peanut butter on it and I'm all over it!

I have lived in Alaska, NWT of Canada (about the same latitude as Fairbanks AK) and Saranac Lake, NY (famed as a common cold spot of the nation). Mostly however I have lived in the state of confusion!

What a bunch of pansies - just get an engine block heater and plug it in. If you don't like a cold car in the morning park it in heated garage. Mercy, I have lived here for about 40 years and NEVER plugged one of my Chevy trucks in - I have a '91 with 345,000 miles on the original engine and it will start without assistance at -50F. In fact the wife usually has to jumper her car if she forgets to plug it in (when I was on the slope) and then head to the neighbors to start theirs. Love that truck!!! Can't say much for the paint job it had (most peeled off) but I guess at Chevrolet paint jobs are NOT job 1!!! It don't have to look pretty to start.

I had one car with a block heater, never used it and one day it fell out of the block, (it was the frost plug type), leaving me stranded. Thank goodness for AAA+ as I was on the road and about 80 miles from home on a Friday Eve.

Come on now....I drive a 2008 Dodge 1500 pickup....haven't had a days problem with it. My husband has a 1998 Dodge 3500 dulley.....runs like a charm. Now my husband is one that does keep everything checked, oil changed, and all that good stuff, that you are supposed to do to keep up the maintance on them. His truck has pulled a horse trailer many miles. Before I owned Fords...guess I was lucky...never had any problems!

Sorry, Horizon - I couldn't think of any thing else for a Dodge. "Evader" didn't seem quite right either. My father in law had a Dodge pickup with a 318 in it and it could beat my Chevy 350 back in '71 any day of the week. Never could figure that one out so I souped up the 350 - finally beat that green Dodge. The laughter finally stopped around the dinner table after that.

Hmmm .... it was quite a few years ago, but I think it was a Ford. Can't blame the truck though, the clamps on the block heater let go and it fell out. The engine was fine the after market part failed. Put another block heater in as I recall, it was cheaper and easier to do.

Hey, you guys- I drive a 2000 Dodge 1/2 ton pickup,1500 series SLT- It has done everything I have asked of it without complaint- Maintained frequently at regular intervals, and has only 94,000 miles- It has the '318 Magnum V-8, with a High Performance Computer Chip installed- I did lose 3 miles a gallon, but I defy ANYONE to go past me-Nobody will go by me IF I don't want them to- The only 'Major' thing that has been done, is the balljoints, tierods, etc, and anyone that drives a 'Chrysler' product would know that they are worn out @ 55,000-I did look at some new 2013 models, and don't like them at all- I'll keep putting the engines and trannies to the one I have, then, I'll know what I got-

I support the company that did NOT accept government bailout, aksafeone. I've had 2 Ford Edges since then and have been very happy with them, too.
