The Central Bank announced new steps would raise the value of the Iraqi dinar against the dollar. Deputy Central Bank Governor Mohammad Saleh appearance in a special correspondent (JD) that the Central Bank began applying a new strategy will emerge with the equation equal the dollar if the dinar had the right atmosphere. Baghdad, May 29 (Rn) - Committee announced that the economy and investment in the Iraqi Council of Representatives on Tuesday rejected the government's request to wait in the application of tariff law which was passed in 2008.
The Iraqi government has said it called on the House of Representatives of the patient as the application of tariff law scheduled to commence by early next month for non-completion of the foundations necessary for the successful application of the law.
He said the Commission's decision Mahma Khalil told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that "there is a demand for the government to activate the law of the customs tariff in January of this year has been applied throughout the time."

stage in the destruction of the Iraqi economy, and that the removal of
zeros from the currency and a national duty.
The deputy governor of the

Well all I can get out of that is that they will delete the zeros thus making a dinar worth a buck. So its following the other articles where they say they are working to get the dinar to 1000:1 and then it looks like they will RD once that happens..... JMHO

#1 to delete zeros out the equation equal the Iraqi dinar with the dollar and this requires several factors
#2 then proceed with a project to delete the zeros of the exit equation equal to the Iraqi dinar with the dollar
#3 Lets hope the c.b.i. has claws.

I don't know how many times I have tried to explain that Iraqi general citizens or PM's - especially PM's are NOT the banking system, and therefore thier "interpretation" of what they think is being explained is not always accuarately translated and deciphered.
Delete the ZEROS out of the EQUATION. The SIGIR report I typed into previous posts explained that Iraq was going to remove 3 zeros MAKING THE DINAR WORTH JUST UNDER $1 USD.
In finance you talk of equations / worth / values. The printing of the NEW DENOMS will be necessary in order to accomodate the increased purchasing power of their own money. 2 separate articles - even though the Voice of Iraq is an opinion site - now bring you the word I could not seem to explain.
And 1 more time - the CBI is in control of the money, under IMF as long as there are ANY SBA Loans or Program Rates, and their responsibility to to control inflation and keep the economy on the right track. They already have TALONS. They don't need anything from the Iraqi Government. Just like our own US Treasury telling Congress - NO we are not printing more money. CBI has the authority.

Now as far as some questions I saw asked "why would Iraq tell the world they were going to revalue??"
1) After what people have seem with the currency changes worldwide - no one has any reason to believe it will be worth investing in (if they havent already been on this rise). Some people just won't get it no matter how hard you explain.
2) As confused as we have been by the news reports - do you really think anyone NOT following all this time would just suddenly realize it was a good investment?
I know with the way the Euro has been going - if I wasn't already in this - I would have just walked away thinking world economy was in the outhouse. KNowing what I know is what keeps my grounded in knowing I mad a right choice - although I still belive not for a few more months.

I actually believe it will be in that range. Our own USD is actually worth .8259, and it has been in an upswing as of late.
So it is very plausible, however, there could be a slight increase of say 10-15% (increasing it to .94-.98) to cover the exchange rates at the banks in order to "not screw" the Iraqi people. The CBI would be appearing to become the "bad guys" if they didn't allow for the exchange.
Not to mention they will try to look better than the USA.
