Shafaq News / On Friday, the Ministry of Finance issued an explanation of the controls for applying for the five-year leave for employees, which was included in the Federal Budget Law for 2021.

The Budget Department explained in a statement received by Shafaq News that a text was included in the Federal Budget Law for the year 2021, Article 26-First, which states “for the competent minister or head of the entity not associated with a ministry or the governor or whoever authorizes him and based on the employee’s request, whoever has completed a five Actual years of employment from employees on leave with a nominal salary for a period of five years, and it is calculated for retirement purposes, provided that retirement pensions and all deductions are paid in full during the period of his enjoyment of the leave.

The statement added that "the authorized employee has the right to work in the private sector, as an exception from the State Employees Discipline Law No. 14 of 1991 amended in accordance with the regulations issued by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers for the year / 2019."

The statement continued by saying that the employees "who were granted a leave of four years according to Article 38 - First of the Federal Budget Law for the year 2017 and terminated the leave period and they were assumed with their jobs, are entitled to give them five years leave with a nominal salary and according to Article 26 - First of the Federal Budget Law for the year 2021."
