The Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, discussed, on Tuesday, the importance of documenting ISIS crimes, during his meeting with the Special Adviser and Head of the United Nations Investigation Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by ISIS (UNITAD), Karim Asad Ahmed Khan.

A statement by the media office of the Prime Minister stated, "During the meeting, efforts were discussed to document the crimes of the terrorist organization ISIS committed in Iraq, and the government's great willingness to provide assistance and cooperate with the UN mission in this regard."

Al-Kazemi stressed, according to the statement, “the importance of documenting the crimes of the terrorist ISIS gangs that committed against Iraqis,” indicating that “it will be an important step towards strengthening societal peace and strengthening national unity in the country, in a way that preserves the rights of victims and prevents the recurrence of such crimes.”
