Economy News - Baghdad

A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Ahmed Mazhar al-Jubouri, expected the passage of the second borrowing bill next Thursday, subject to the approval of the political blocs.

"The government agreed to reduce borrowing from 41 trillion dinars to 31 trillion dinars," Al-Jubouri said in an interview with Al-Eqtisad News.

He added that all salaries in Iraq do not exceed 6 trillion dinars per month, explaining that the amount of borrowing is very large.
