1. The hint that he has accesss to secret privileged sources.
2. The suggestion that he's just passing on information and he cannot be held personally responsible for it.
3. The not-so-subtle pressure to keep the marks in the game.
4. The absolute deniability of it all -"But I never said anything was actually going to happen this week."
