The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Engineer Hala Zawati, announced on Wednesday that the quantities imported from Iraqi oil amounted to about 310,000 barrels last March, at an average of 10,000 barrels per day.

Zawati said in a press statement today, which was followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that the Jordanian oil refinery had received, since the beginning of the unloading of Iraqi crude oil at the refinery site / Zarqa, on the fifth of September 2019 until the end of March 2020, a total of 2.1 million barrels, with a daily average of About 10,000 barrels.

And 1195 Iraqi and Jordanian tanks shared during the month of March the transfer of quantities of imported Iraqi crude oil according to the Memorandum of Understanding to supply crude oil signed between the governments of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Iraq on the second of February 2019.

Zawati said that the process of transferring Iraqi oil is currently taking place in accordance with the data imposed by the Corona virus, by unloading Iraqi tanks in Jordanian tanks in the border area between the two countries.
