Today, Thursday, Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Al-Halbousi discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance Fuad Hussein the political situation and its developments.

A statement by Al-Halbousi’s office, seen by Yassin Iraq, stated that Al-Halbousi, “during his meeting with Finance Minister Fouad Hussein, stressed the need for political forces to have a clear vision to manage the affairs of the country and shoulder responsibilities, in order to implement the aspirations of all components of the Iraqi people.”

The statement added that "the meeting discussed the issue of forming a government, and proceeding with early elections, to fulfill the will of the people."
