Members of the House of Representatives and experts in the economy warned that delaying the approval of the state budget sends a negative message to the whole society, as it contributes to major economic damages.

Member of Parliamentary Services Committee Maha Al-Janabi said in an interview with Al-Sabah: “Delaying approving the budget is a negative message to society, and a message of insecurity to investors in Iraq, and therefore approval of it is one of the priorities of the new government.”

While a member of the Economic Committee Nada Shaker Jawdat said in an interview with "Al-Sabah" that "the budget includes all the allocations and benefits for all governorates, and not approving it is a delay in obtaining these provinces their shares of development and investment."

While the financial affairs advisor to the Prime Minister, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, in his interview with Al-Sabah, indicated that "the budget constitutes less than 50 percent of effective spending, and income multiples move within the economy, and if the budget stops, life in Iraq stops.
