The Minister of Planning, Dr. Nuri Sabah Al-Dulaimi, received at the Ministry’s Bureau today, Monday, the governor of Wasit Governor, Adel Al-Zargani and his accompanying delegation.
Dr. Nuri Al-Dulaimi called on local governments to accelerate the provision of infrastructure projects and services that will be implemented under the Iraqi-Chinese agreement, noting that the first batch of new projects will include building 250 schools and 15 hospitals with a capacity of 100 beds, and other projects in the housing and electric power sectors, noting To distribute projects to the governorates according to their population needs and requirements.
Noting the Ministry’s presentation of an integrated vision that includes resuming the implementation of all stalled and reluctant projects, according to the available allocations and capabilities, stressing the importance of optimal investment for development benefits in every governorate, foremost of which is agriculture, and a serious endeavor to meet the local need for basic agricultural and animal products.
For his part, the Governor of Wasit praised the Ministry of Development’s vision and the procedures that the Minister directed during the meeting, stressing the importance of this in strengthening the work of the local government and supporting its efforts in improving all services.
