The Ministry of Construction announced, on Wednesday, the re-signing of a contract for the reconstruction of Khalis - Azim Road in Diyala Governorate, for implementation, at a cost of more than $ 12 million.

She indicated, "The implementation period will be 450 days, while the second part will be referred soon, due to the great strategic importance of this project, especially for the central and northern governorates."

"The project consists of one corridor with a length of 25 km and starts from Al-Azim towards Al-Khalis. The work includes scraping and extraction and removal of damaged asphalt layers for the internal and external sides, re-establishment of some road sections, implementation of tubular arches and shoulders, maintenance of longitudinal expansion joints and iron fences for three bridges located on the road and construction of a station New weight, furniture and road planning with traffic signs. "
