The Secretary General of the Chamber of Deputies, Sirwan Abdullah Sereni, discussed during his meeting this evening, Mrs. Tuna Aliris, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Baghdad, the enhancement of bilateral relations and their development to serve the interests of both sides.

The meeting also discussed
Coordination and communication mechanism between the House of Representatives and the Norwegian embassy in Baghdad on issues of mutual interest.

For his part, the Secretary-General provided an explanation of the most important political developments on the Iraqi scene and the ongoing movements in the House of Representatives in order to choose a person to take over the Prime Minister, and the most important laws enacted by the House of Representatives during this period and that meet the demands of the demonstrators, including the law of the Independent High Electoral Commission and the amendment of the general retirement law And cancel the privileges of officials and host representatives of the demonstrators to listen to their legitimate demands.

The Secretary-General stressed Norway's role in providing assistance and support to the current Iraqi situation, directly or indirectly, through its representation in the European Union.

In turn, Ms. Alers presented an invitation to the Speaker of Parliament to attend an international conference to be held in the Norwegian capital, praising the bilateral relations between the two countries and the serious desire to strengthen them in the interest of the two friendly countries.

At the end of the meeting, the Secretary General presented the House of Representatives shield to Mrs. Aliers in appreciation of the relations between the House of Representatives and the Norwegian embassy in Baghdad.
