Member of Parliamentary Finance Committee Magda Al-Tamimi warned, on Saturday, of the delay in sending the general budget bill for the year 2020 to the House of Representatives, pointing out that a "big problem" will occur if the budget is not approved in the coming weeks.

The Parliamentary Finance Committee warned against delaying sending the draft general budget bill for 2020 to the House of Representatives, while calling for it to be sent quickly.

Committee member Magda Al-Tamimi said in a press statement that "the delay in sending the budget for the next year 2020 to Parliament will repeat what happened in the 2014 budget," noting that "not adopting it during the coming weeks will cause a big problem in Iraq."

She added that "the government is supposed to complete the budget and send it to the House of Representatives before announcing a caretaker government," noting that "according to the Financial Management Law, the budget is sent on the date of 10/15 of each year to complete its approval on the specified date." For his part, Representative Muhammad Sahib Al-Daraji said that "regardless of who will be prime minister, the failure to present the budget bill so far shows the level of decline in the way the state is run and the absence of institutional status." Daraji added that "the budget is not for the government but rather for sustaining the daily life of people, and I call on the caretaker government to send it immediately to parliament."

hey claude the budget is not all they have. the pm and 3 other laws have to be passed right after the election laws to go with the budget. then the un wants to put scantions on Iraq due to the violence against the people and not turning over the files of the guilty. so claud do not worry about next sat theres more important issues then the goi meeting and doing nothing aye
