Agriculture announces the marketing of more than 5000 tons of straw in Babylon

The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Thursday the marketing of more than (5000) tons of wheat crop in the province of Babylon to the stores of the Ministry of Commerce since the start of the current agricultural season.

The Directorate of Agriculture of Babylon, according to a ministry statement seen by the "economic news," that the quantities marketed included (4500) tons of wheat crop, jasmine rice and (517) tons of rice variety amber.

The director pointed out that "the areas harvested from the crop stalks reached so far (8000) dunums of the total agricultural plan implemented amounting to (10700) dunums and the continuation of the harvest for the rest of the cultivated area for marketing."

Marketing operations continue for the crop and for the various cultivated varieties in the province and through the marketing outlets prepared for receipt, calling on farmers and farmers to accelerate the marketing of their crop.
