BAGHDAD - The victory coalition confirmed on Sunday that the current political crisis can only be resolved through the formation of an interim government outside the framework of the current authority.

"The government has so far failed to achieve anything from the demands of the demonstrators," said Mohammed al-Abed Rabbo, a leader of Al-Nasr.

He pointed out that the former member of the House of Representatives, "we failed in the performance of our work and we have to give way to young people," and pointed out that "the government is committed to governance and power and betting on time to absorb the momentum of the demonstrators."

Abed Rabbo noted that "the political blocs do not want to dismiss the current government as it will lose its privileges and influence," stressing "the selection of an interim government with a transition period does not enter the political process after the elections."

It is noteworthy that the Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq Qais Khazali confirmed earlier on Saturday, that there are major mistakes in the political system, among the demonstrations may turn into a revolution.
