The Committee on Health and Environment, chaired by Dr. Qutaiba Al-Jubouri, Chairman of the Committee and the presence of its members on Wednesday 20/11/2019 Australian Ambassador to Iraq Ms. Joan Lunds and her delegation, to discuss ways to develop cooperation between the two countries in the health and environment.

During the meeting held at the committee's headquarters, they discussed ways to develop the health system in Iraq by benefiting from the Australian experience and cooperation to facilitate investments in the health sector, especially with regard to building hospitals.

It was also stressed to urge Australian companies to work inside Iraq and encourage them to build pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, and the possibility of helping Iraq in the environmental side and find solutions to the problems caused by hospital contaminants.

The Chairman and members of the Committee appreciated the contributions of the Australian side to return projects in the liberated areas and their cooperation with international organizations in providing services to the people of those areas.
