The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) said that serious violations of human rights continued during the second wave of demonstrations that began in Iraq on 25 November.

This came during a second report prepared by the Office of Human Rights of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq.

The report summarizes UNAMI's human rights concerns related to the second wave of protests that began in Iraq on 25 November, with preliminary findings indicating numerous human rights violations and abuses, including the use of lethal force against demonstrators and Necessary and improper tear gas and sound bombs, and continued efforts to limit media coverage of demonstrations, kidnappings and multiple arrests.
