The `` Current Status of the World Trade Organization '' course, organized by the Arab Monetary Fund's Training and Capacity Building Institute in cooperation with the World Trade Organization (WTO), opened this morning in Abu Dhabi on 5-7 November 2019.

The Arab Monetary Fund has held several sessions in cooperation with the World Trade Organization in order to provide technical and institutional assistance to Arab countries in the areas of foreign trade, on the one hand, and on the other hand to stimulate these countries to participate in the multilateral trading system as a way to enhance their competitiveness through the development of incentives Encouraging investment and reducing barriers to trade, such as improving basic services for producers and facilitating trade activities. The opening and liberalization of markets helps to increase trade and attract investments, liberalization of trade means the removal or reduction of tariffs and reduce trade protection and the removal of customs and non-tariff restrictions, such as administrative and investment barriers, liberalization of the services sector and the development of laws and regulations regulating markets.
