BAGHDAD / NEWS:
The legal expert Ali al-Tamimi, on Tuesday, on the mechanism of the Prime Minister's resignation from his post, indicating that the Prime Minister resigns to the President of the Republic and the latter approves or slows to know the reasons.

Tamimi said in a statement to "news" that "the Prime Minister submits his resignation written to the President of the Republic and the latter decides to accept it directly or delay until the causes are known and within a reasonable period."

"If approved, the whole government is considered resigned and continues to conduct daily affairs for 30 days, during which the President of the Republic assigns another candidate in accordance with Article 76 of the Constitution," he said.

He explained that "there are types of resignations in the constitutions of the world did not stipulate the Iraqi constitution, including optional, which are without pressure or influence and compulsory comes as a result of demonstrations and popular pressure and in all cases .. Parliament has the right to dismiss the prime minister by a majority and the government is all resigned." Indicating that "the constitutional needs to amend these details as did the French Constitution."
