Iraq and Norway on Monday signed the oil-for-development agreement.
"Iraq and Norway signed the oil-for-development agreement," Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi's office said in a statement seen by Al-Iqtisad News.
The statement gave no further details.
Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi received on Monday Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg and discussed cooperation between the two countries and security, political and economic developments in Iraq and the region.

Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi received on Monday Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, according to a statement from his media office.
The Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg arrived, on Monday morning on an official visit to the capital Baghdad.
She is scheduled to meet with the Iraqi Prime Minister and a number of officials to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Monday signed an oil-for-development agreement with Norway's Prime Minister Erna Solberg.
In a statement, the Prime Minister's Information Office announced the signing of the agreement between the two sides.
The Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, received in Baghdad on Monday, Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg.
The Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, during the meeting her country's commitment to its partnership with Iraq, noting that she discussed with the Iraqi government oil projects between Iraq and Norway.

Parliament Speaker Mohammad Halbousi received on Monday Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg to discuss strengthening bilateral relations in all fields.
At the outset of the meeting, he welcomed the Norwegian Prime Minister to visit Baghdad after the victory over the terrorist Daesh, and appreciated Norway's contribution with the international coalition to support Iraq during its war against terrorism, which targeted the whole world.
The speaker said that Iraq is looking forward to a long-term future partnership with Norway, and this requires strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and the opening of a Norwegian embassy in the country, as well as the activation of Iraqi-Norwegian friendship committees.
He called for joint cooperation between the two countries in all fields, including investment and benefiting from the expertise of Norwegian companies in the construction and reconstruction, and contribute to the efforts to return the displaced, and achieve stability, and continued cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
The meeting also discussed developments in the security situation in the region and their impact on the country, pointing out that Iraq is not isolated from its surroundings and does not want to be a conflict arena as much as a meeting point between the parties, stressing that the stability of Iraq is an important factor for the stability of the region.
For her part, Norwegian Prime Minister expressed her country's desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Iraq, stressing her country's commitment to partnership and support the Iraqi government in efforts to combat terrorism, reconstruction and reconstruction and stability.
