A source close to Sadr's leader Moqtada al-Sadr said on Sunday that Sadr will lead the upcoming popular protests and protests, especially on October 25.

The source told (Pasnews) that «Sadr will lead the protests and popular demonstrations, through a coordinating committee formed under his supervision and operating under his guidance, different from the previous coordination of his».

And that «the leader of the Sadrist movement seeks through these demonstrations and protests to make major changes and reforms in the Iraqi state, not aimed at overthrowing the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi, or change Abdul Mahdi, but seeks to reform and correct its course, through public pressure».
