BAGHDAD: The parliamentary finance committee submitted proposals to the government on reducing the expected deficit in the federal budget 2020, which may reach 72 trillion dinars, most notably activating the Council of the province of corruption and the settlement of salaries, in addition to the structure of some ministries.

"The committee put forward several proposals to reduce the expected deficit in the budget, which may reach 72 trillion dinars," said committee member Jamal Cougar in a press statement.

"The proposals demanded by the government committee to activate the Anti - Corruption Council and the localization of the employees ' salaries in banks even reveals the number of multi - salary, in addition to the transfer of public property to the private sector , such as the Ministry of Education and electricity."

"The committee also proposed changing the structure of the ministries and transforming them from consuming ministries to productive, an experience adopted by major countries, while working on multiple sources of income and activate agriculture, industry, tourism, taxes and collection."
