what do you think?
Well today Wed Oct.12 I call my bank PVSB in Nebraska and I asked if I could order some more VND. I have order VND from them in July and Aug of this year. Well today when I called they told me that they would have to Call the National bank in Omaha to get the rate, (they never had to call before they would just look it up on the paper that they print off each morning). Well they called me back after about 15 minutes and told me that they were not dealing in VND or the IQD, now I did not say anything to them about the IQD. I did ask them what had changed? He told me it was because of all the scams. I asked what scams? Than he told me that people were buying the IQD and The VND and sending over sea to get money. I said okay you lost me, I said if someone has the USD and buys VND than send it over sea to receive what? He couldn't answer me.
I wonder are they not selling now because the RV is so close, I hope that it!
One other thing I'd like to say, I know that I have never posted on here before and would just like to say. As we all know we can not change the past, so don't live in it, we can not do anything about the future, so don't worry about it. Live each moment knowing that the Lord thy God is with you.

I was thinking the exact same thing. AJ. It would appear that the currencies are being "Demonized" to make them less attractive to investors. Just a hunch though.

Re: what do you think?
I too have had a bank ( the main bank in Anchorage and my branch) tell me that they do not and will not handle IQD or VND because it (they) are a scam. The gentleman at the main bank told me that same thing as above also (we send the money out - what a laugh). I also visited another bank in Anchorage and they told me they would be glad to take my Dinar or Dong and send it to their Main Bank (in Colorado) and in a few days I would get Dollars from them. When asked why it had to go to the Main Bank they said for verification of authenticity!! I stated that I had a statement from the broker that it was authentic - NO matter.
My comment to the first bank was, "Then when this does RV and we get our money you can bet that WE Dinarians will cease to do business with you." To the other bank my comment was, "Sorry Sport, my currency does not leave my hand until I see the greenbacks or my account has been credited with the appropriate amount." His comment was, "Don't you trust banks?" My reply, "Do you remember the depression? How did the banks do then? NO, I do not trust anyone with my currency or cash."
Interesting how these banks want our business, want our money so they can skim off their "share" for services YET are not willing to accommodate us by cashing us in. Wonder if that has something to do with the Federal Reserve Bank? With the person in charge of that bank it would not surprise me.
Mayhap the "SCAM" be the banks in this case???? Or maybe the bank employees who aren't allowed to invest (my WF bank manager told his employees they would be fired if they had any Dinar - 3 quit on the spot).

They still have that dirt oval track in Wasilla that Sara Palin's husband and daughter raced on? If so, I need to get there and try it out.

Yep,
Northstar speedway in Wasilla, Capital Speedway in Willow, 30 miles north, Twin Cities in Kenai, about 200 miles south, and one in Fairbanks about 300 miles north

Re: what do you think?
No, have friends into it, I'm a bit to busy as the race season are in the summer and it is already short enough.
To much to do, not enough time.

That's a deal. I believe it was capitol they raced at anyway as the track in Wasilla is asphault. The season is about over down here, so it will need to wait until next year and after RI. AJ

I was just reading the rules for the stock class in willow and my cars would pass, but it would most likely be cheaper to buy one already built and there, rather than ship a car up there. I would want to bring my own engine thou. Do you have any advertising you could refer me to where cars are for sale? I see nothing under classifides on the Capital Speedway website. Also, my wife is asking about the weather there in the summer, how much rain vs. sunshine? AJ

Re: what do you think?
I was talking with a buddy who is into racing. He thinks it was out on Kodiak that the Palins taped that segment.
He said cars are a bit hard to find, but he did suggest all the tracks websites and contacting the track folks they will know who is selling what.
Weather, Well a lot like Texas, wait five minuts it will change, but in the summer 20+ hour per day the sun is up. But always bring rain gear as some summers it can rain every other day, others can be dry. But it is worth the trip.

If, and that is a big if, either the IQD or VND RV's before the other, the one that did not RV, will be hard to get.
Because you know that after RV we will all be experts in foreign curencies, foreign politics, everything foreign we will be the experts, just ask us.
