Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Massoud Barzani received on Thursday the Interior Minister in the federal government Yassin Al-Yasiri and discussed with him the political situation and the latest developments on the Iraqi and regional scene.

In a statement to the official website of Barzani, Shafq News reported that the meeting was attended by Interior Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government Reaper Ahmed, noting that the positive atmosphere in the relations between Erbil and Baghdad was also highlighted as a good opportunity to solve all problems between the two sides.

The statement added that the meeting also witnessed the emphasis on coordination between Erbil and Baghdad to create security and stability and confront and root out terrorism.
